Directions

From I-40, take exit 398 for Jacksonville/Burgaw and turn towards Burgaw on N.C. 53. After about 1.5 miles, you will pass through a stop light and another half mile down the road, you will reach a stop sign. Then turn right onto Timberly Lane and then left onto Wallace Street. Stay on Wallace for about a mile until you reach the stop sign at the intersection with Penderlea Road. Turn right onto Penderlea Road and the unit will be on the right.

How to Send an Inmate Money

Friends, family, or other people may add funds to prisoner’s Commissary accounts with Western Union and the U.S. Postal Service.

Via U.S. Postal Service: An inmate’s family and friends can to send prisoners funds in the mail and have to send it to this address and follow the rules shows below:

The money has to be a money order that is made out to the prisoner’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. You should use a post office money order, since all non-postal money orders that are processed through the National Lockbox will be subject to a 15-day hold period, and in this time the prisoner will not get the money. The Bureau of Prisons will return to the sender money orders that do not have appropriate prisoner info provided the envelope has a valid return address. Cash and personal checks will not be accepted for deposit so don’t send checks or cash.

Victim Notification

The Department of Justice Victim Notification System (VNS) is a system that provides victims with information pertaining to their case and/or any defendants in the case. You will receive a Victim Identification Number (VIN) and a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that will allow you to access VNS via the internet or by phone. Here, you will find information about future court hearings, historical court events, and detailed information about the defendant. This will include criminal charges filed, the outcome of charges, sentence imposed, custody location, projected release date and any other release information. The VNS website is updated daily. You will also receive any ongoing information by mail or email.
