Family, friends, or other sources can add funds to prisoner’s accounts with Western Union or by mail.

Via U.S. Postal Service: Inmates’ families and friends can to send prisoners funds by way of the mail and will have to send funds to this address and do so in accordance with the policies written below:

The funds have to be in the form of a money order that is made out to the inmate’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. You should use a U.S. Postal Service money order, since all non-postal money orders processed through the National Lockbox will be placed on a 15-day hold, and during this period the inmate will not get the money. The Bureau of Prisons will return any funds that do not have valid inmate information provided the envelope you sent it in has a return address. Personal checks and cash won’t be deposited to the inmate’s account so do not send cash or checks.

Inmate Programs

Music with a Purpose – This program provides inmates the opportunity to enroll in musical classes that teaches musical theory, musical application, how to properly use musical instruments and vocal classes. After the inmates complete their classes, they are provided the opportunity to audition for one of the fourteen bands that are organized through the Recreation Department. These bands allow for continuous ongoing learning for those inmates that are serious about music to perfect their talents. This program allows the inmates the opportunity to perform musical selections in a concert setting for inmates, family members, friends, and staff members. Family members and friends can purchase concert CDs. Proceeds from the sale of the CDs are donated to our adopt-a-school musical program and used in a variety of ways to enhance the students’ musical skills.
Health and Wellness Program – This program looks into the holistic concept of educating and empowering individuals in a manner consistent with healthy behaviors that allow for development of physical, social attributes and nutritional needs. The medical staff assessed each offender’s vital signs and weight measurement for the initial phase of the program. Throughout the program, each participant’s progress is reviewed weekly with a medical staff person and the dietician to ensure that the offender is maintaining healthy and nutritional eating habits. The program is an eight week course with two classes per week and a five day a week exercise program. Resource materials are distributed to the participants for current and future reference.

Victim Notification

The Department of Justice Victim Notification System (VNS) is a system that provides victims with information pertaining to their case and/or any defendants in the case. You will receive a Victim Identification Number (VIN) and a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that will allow you to access VNS via the internet or by phone. Here, you will find information about future court hearings, historical court events, and detailed information about the defendant. This will include criminal charges filed, the outcome of charges, sentence imposed, custody location, projected release date and any other release information. The VNS website is updated daily. You will also receive any ongoing information by mail or email.
