From I-40 West from Nashville (to East Memphis): Travel I-40 West to Exit 52. Turn right onto Highway 76. Go approximately 1/4 mile. Turn left onto Highway 179. Go 14 miles to the city of Whiteville. Turn left onto Main Street. Travel approximately 4 to 5 miles to Bass Street. Turn right. Follow to four lane highway. Cross over the four lane highway to Union Springs Road. Whiteville Elementary School will be on the right as you cross over. Go 2.5 miles. Hardeman County Correctional Facility is the second facility on the right.
From I-40 West from Nashville (to Jackson): Travel I-40 West to 45 By-Pass. Take the 45 By-Pass to Highway 45. Take Highway 45 South to Highway 18. Take Highway 18 South to Highway 100. Take Highway 100 West to Whiteville. Turn right on Highway 64. Turn left on Union Springs Road. Whiteville Elementary School will be on the corner as you turn. Go 2.5 miles. Hardeman County Correctional Facility is the second facility on the right.
From Memphis: Travel I-40 to Exit 18 (Somerville-Bolivar). Go 36 miles to Whiteville. Continue until you come to the Whiteville Elementary School on the right. Turn right onto Union Springs Road. Go 2.5 miles. Hardeman County Correctional Facility is the second facility on the right.

How to Send an Inmate Money

Family, friends, or other sources may deposit funds to inmate’s accounts by sending it by the U.S. Postal Service and Western Union.

Via U.S. Postal Service: An inmate’s family and friends can to send inmates funds by way of the mail and must send funds to the following address and do so in accordance with the rules shows below:

The deposit has to be a money order made out to the inmate’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. You are advised to use a post office money order, since all non-postal money orders that are processed through the National Lockbox will be placed on a 15-day holding period, and during this period the inmate will not get the money. The Bureau of Prisons will send back money orders that don’t have appropriate prisoner information but only if the envelope has a valid return address. Personal checks and cash can’t be deposited to the prisoner’s account so don’t send any cash or checks.

Victim Notification

The Department of Justice Victim Notification System (VNS) is a system that provides victims with information pertaining to their case and/or any defendants in the case. You will receive a Victim Identification Number (VIN) and a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that will allow you to access VNS via the internet or by phone. Here, you will find information about future court hearings, historical court events, and detailed information about the defendant. This will include criminal charges filed, the outcome of charges, sentence imposed, custody location, projected release date and any other release information. The VNS website is updated daily. You will also receive any ongoing information by mail or email.
