How to Send an Inmate Money
Family, friends, or other sources can deposit money to prisoner’s accounts using Western Union and the U.S. Postal Service.
Via U.S. Postal Service: An inmate’s family and friends can choose to send inmates funds by way of the postal service and will have to send those funds to the address below and follow the steps shows below:
The deposit must be a money order made out to the prisoner’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. It is best if you use a post office money order, since all non-postal money orders that are processed through the National Lockbox will be placed on a 15-day hold, in which the prisoner will not have access to the deposit. The Bureau of Prisons will return to the sender money orders that do not have valid inmate info provided the envelope it was sent it has a return address. Checks and cash cannot be accepted so do not send checks or cash.
