How to Send an Inmate Money
Anyone can add money to these Commissary accounts with Western Union or by mail.
Via U.S. Postal Service: Inmates’ families and friends can choose to send prisoners money by way of postal mail and will have to send the money to the address below and follow the directions given below:
The deposit has to be a money order that is made out to the prisoner’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. You are advised to use a postal money order, since all non-postal money orders processed through the National Lockbox will be placed on a 15-day hold period, in which the inmate will not get the money. The Bureau of Prisons will send back money orders that do not have valid inmate information if the envelope you sent it in has a return address. Checks and cash will not be deposited so do not send any checks or cash.

Inmate Visitation Schedule
Wake Correctional Center has Visitation by Appointment on Saturdays. Visitors can call the facility Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to schedule a visitation appointment during any one of the following sessions:
8:30 -10:30 a.m.
12:30 – 2:30 p.m.
3 – 5 p.m.

Visitation Sign-In and Check-In
The front entrance guard ensures all visitors sign the prison visitors log before they enter the institution and also when they leave.

Victim Notification
The Department of Justice Victim Notification System (VNS) is a system that provides victims with information pertaining to their case and/or any defendants in the case. You will receive a Victim Identification Number (VIN) and a Personal Identification Number (PIN) that will allow you to access VNS via the internet or by phone. Here, you will find information about future court hearings, historical court events, and detailed information about the defendant. This will include criminal charges filed, the outcome of charges, sentence imposed, custody location, projected release date and any other release information. The VNS website is updated daily. You will also receive any ongoing information by mail or email.
