Friends, family, or other people can send money to inmate’s accounts by sending it by Western Union or by mail.
Via U.S. Postal Service: An inmate’s family and friends can to send prisoners funds in the postal service and will have to send those funds to the following address and follow the rules written below:
The deposit has to be in the form of a money order made out to the inmate’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. It is best if you use a U.S. Postal Service money order, since all non-postal money orders processed through the National Lockbox will be subject to a 15-day holding period, during which the inmate will not get the funds. The Bureau of Prisons will return funds that do not have appropriate inmate information but only if the envelope you sent it in has an adequate return address. Cash and personal checks cannot be accepted for deposit so do not send checks or cash.
