Inmate Money
How to Send an Inmate Money
Family, friends, or other sources can add funds to prisoner’s accounts using Western Union or by mail.
Via U.S. Postal Service: Inmates’ families and friends can choose to send inmates money in postal mail and will have to send money to the address below and follow the steps listed below:
The deposit has to be in the form of a money order made out to the prisoner’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. You are advised to use a U.S. Postal Service money order, since all non-postal money orders processed through the National Lockbox will be held for a 15-day hold, and during this hold period the inmate will not get the funds. The Bureau of Prisons will send back funds that don’t have correct inmate information if the envelope it was sent it has an adequate return address. Checks and cash can’t be accepted so do not send cash or checks.
