Friends, family, or other people can add funds into these Commissary accounts using Western Union and the U.S. Postal Service.

Via U.S. Postal Service: Inmates’ families and friends can to send inmates money in the mail and must send funds to this address and follow the policies listed below:

The deposit has to be in a money order made out to the prisoner’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. It is best if you use a post office money order, since all non-postal money orders processed through the National Lockbox will be subject to a 15-day hold period, in which the prisoner will not have access to the deposit. The Bureau of Prisons will send back any funds that do not have appropriate inmate info but only if the envelope you sent it in has a return address. Cash and personal checks cannot be deposited so don’t send any cash or checks.

This will include criminal charges filed, the outcome of charges, sentence imposed, custody location, projected release date and any other release information. The VNS website is updated daily. You will also receive any ongoing information by mail or email.
