  1. Dayle C says:

Our daughter is at Lowell Correctional Institution. There are many Officers that should be fired for their nasty inappropriate language. The State needs to have higher standards for these Guards before they are hired. Guards treat the inmates like they are animals and show no respect and their abusive behavior should not be tolerated. For example: Screaming in their face to wake up, writing them up if they fall asleep early and they have their belongings washed on their bed that they can hang up after 10, leaving a book on their bed not moving fast enough to put it away. These should not be written up, these are not intentional.

Previously, she was at Gadsden and the Warden would not allow any abusive behavior toward any inmate. There was respect and order in a dignified manner with everyone.

They should have inmates separated from the serious killers, and offenders that are always fighting and stealing, and threading others that are obeying the rules. Punishing everyone when others are causing problems, is not fair.

Lowell, has nothing for them to learn if they already have their diploma. Where are the classes and activities?

Lowell’s food is full of bacteria because they leave it out too long. Food is raw many times, or too hard to eat.
    That is not acceptable.

Guards shutting off the fans while they speak is insane, when it is deadly hot.

Conditions are very poor and very dirty with bacteria.

Medical Doctors are very caring and Professional.
