Via U.S. Postal Service: Inmates’ families and friends can choose to send prisoners funds by way of the mail and have to send funds to this address and follow the directions provided below:

The money has to be in the form of a money order made out to the inmate’s full committed name and complete eight-digit register number. It is best if you use a postal money order, since all non-postal money orders that are processed through the National Lockbox will be held for a 15-day hold period, in which the inmate will not get the money. The Bureau of Prisons will return to the sender money orders that don’t have valid inmate information but only if the envelope it was sent it has a valid return address. Cash and personal checks won’t be deposited to the prisoner’s account so do not send any checks or cash.

This will include criminal charges filed, the outcome of charges, sentence imposed, custody location, projected release date and any other release information. The VNS website is updated daily. You will also receive any ongoing information by mail or email.
